I have only 4 pictures for a slide show. How do we start it with only a prev and next button to control it ?

  Create a Next and Previous set of buttons.
  
  Write the event handlers for the button pressed events.
  
  Then load the images in to the image control.
  
  You could also create 4 separate screens. Display image 1 on screen 1, then when Next is pressed, switch to screen 2, display an image there. And so on.
